Anti Wrinkle Treatment
Anti-wrinkle treatments are used to stop muscles moving, resulting in less skin creasing, the main cause of fine lines and wrinkles. Botulinum toxin works by blocking nerve impulses in all injected muscles. This prevents muscle contraction, leading to temporary and reversible relaxation. It is used to improve and soften fine lines and wrinkles and to aid and restore youthful features. It is not a permanent treatment, but works gradually, with a maximum effect after 2 weeks. As with any treatment it will be individually dependent, but usually lasts around 3-6 months. It is not typically painful but some clients may experience slight discomfort. Most people are able to return to normal activities within 24 hours.
First time consultations will take between 30 minutes to an hour to allow for a thorough discussion and assessment. Actual treatment time is around 15-30 minutes depending on the individual treatment plan.
Glabellar area (frown lines)
These are the lines that form between your brows. All regular face motions and expressions cause them. These lines might become more visible and static as you age. People often complain that these lines make them appear angry or tired. Anti-wrinkle treatments in this region can aid in face renewal, achieving aesthetic objectives, and increasing confidence in one’s own skin.
Book NowFrontalis (horizontal forehead lines)
These lines are created by the frontalis muscle contracting (lifting your brows). Repeated usage of this muscular activity can cause these horizontal lines to change from dynamic (they disappear as the muscle relaxes) to static (they persist even when the muscle relaxes). The presence of static horizontal lines can indicate ageing. Anti-wrinkle treatments can help soften static lines and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
Book NowLateral Canthal lines (laughter lines or crows feet)
Whilst these lines are dynamic they are often known as laughter lines, unfortunately when they become more static they can be known as crows feet, which can be an indicator of ageing. Anti-wrinkle treatments can significantly soften and smooth the appearance of these lines.
Book NowBrow lift
Natural ageing can cause the brow to droop, sometimes giving people an older, tired or stern look. Treatment to this area can open up the eye, giving a more alert and rejuvenated appearance.
Book NowBunny lines (nasalis lines)
Treatment to this area aims to reduce/soften the fine lines that appear on the side of your nose. These lines can appear from natural facial expressions or when laughing, sniffing or squinting.
Book NowDownward turned mouth
A set of muscles called the Depressor Anguli Oris (DAO)run down from the mouth and jaw to our chin. Repetitive movement of these muscle, as well as external exposures/ageing factors can cause downward turn of the lips and dropping of the mouth at the corners. This can cause some people to look sad or angry. Treatment to this area can diminish the downward pull and subtly lift the mouth.
Book NowNeck lift (Platysmal bands)
These bands pull down on the lower side of the face and aggravate the jowls. Treatment to this area can improve the definition of the jaw line, relax the jowls and create an uplifting effect.
Book NowMassater
Treatment to this area can reduce the width of your jaw, allowing for facial proportions to be improved.
Book NowHyperhidrosis
This is characterised by excessive sweating that goes beyond what is necessary to regulate your body temperature. It can be uncontrollable and can also affect your daily life and self-confidence. Treatment to this area can reduce or prevent sweat production.
Book NowGummy smile
This can be caused by hyperactivity of the muscle that elevates the lip. When some people smile, their lip elevates too much above their teeth, exposing their gums and producing a smile that may affect their confidence. Treatment to this area can relax the muscle and prevent your upper lip moving up too high.
